Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78448045 It's BS anyway because there's not enough hot water stored in the faucet to burn anything. Nobody runs cold water to cool off the faucet after using hot water, nobody. There is in my house... (enough hot water to scald) Then you dumb. 120-125 F degrees max. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78166427 Canada 02/15/2020 12:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You’re the one using the faucet, and they’re your hands, so it’s your responsibility to check to make sure it’s in proper working order before using it, just like with any tool. If a woman falls into a toilet because she didn’t check the seat, is it the man’s fault? No, it’s your ass, you have to watch out for it yourself! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76579783 Mexico 02/15/2020 01:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is no faucet arrangement anywhere in the world that would do this without clearly indicating where the water temp is set. Even on the single handle hot/cold faucets. left hot, right cold. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76579783 Mexico 02/15/2020 01:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This situation is not possible, and is likely public perception data mining for the next brainwash. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76579783 There is no faucet arrangement anywhere in the world that would do this without clearly indicating where the water temp is set. Even on the single handle hot/cold faucets. left hot, right cold. This is another stupid toilet seat item, that actually pretends women can't see if the seat is up or down. |
Pilgrim001 User ID: 78018011 United States 02/15/2020 01:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Person 1 uses the kitchen sink faucet on hot water. When done, he closes the faucet. He does NOT turn it to cold water before shutting off. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75686950 Person 2 arrives a few minutes later, turns the faucet on, and puts his hands immediately underneath the water, and ends up burning himself. Is Person 1 to blame for not turning the water to cold first before shutting the faucet, or is Person 2 to blame for not waiting a moment before using the water? Person 2 is responsible to set the water he/she wants, but if you're living with idiots, you might be kind and set it back for the others to use. It's kind of like lowering the toilet seat. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

Do you stand beneath the shower then turn it on. Or turn it on and then stand beneath. I stand beneath the shower then turn it on. Doesn't everybody? |

The whole point of washing dishes with dish soap to to get the germs to slide off of the dishes, not to kill them. OP is an idiot. It essentially at boil levels...and hotter water is always better where possible, brightbulb. So are you too fucking stupid to notice the position of the faucet handle? In America faucets have a Hot water line and a cold water line. So this is not an issue. You have two spigots over you sink? I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. Nobody runs cold water to cool off the faucet after using hot water, nobody. There is in my house... (enough hot water to scald) Ain't buying it. Turn the frikken water tank down, jeez. I hate when people do that...I keep mine at super fucking hot so that my dishes come out of the washer clean, the soap gets dissolved for the clothes, and a hot bath or shower is much more enjoyable when it isn't lukewarm... BRIEF User ID: 39607259 United States 02/15/2020 06:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you have kids, you should lower the tank temp. I used to keep it cranked up, until my youngest got burned in the shower. That was 30 years ago and it's never been a problem with the lower temp setting. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78448045 Cost me about $16 month to heat water. Next time around I'm going with a tankless heater. I raised three children on scalding hot water...I taught them to understand the rules just like I did with guns...I left loaded guns all over my house and we didn't become a statistic...it's all to do with the time you spend with your children... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

BRIEF User ID: 39607259 United States 02/15/2020 07:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You should NOT have to run cold water when you're done-that just wastes water. Quoting: Half Past Midnight Person 2 should notice that the faucet is turned to HOT from the last person so should be carefull. Faucets are different, but hot water will remain where the hot and cold meet, so maybe just don't rush in behind the last person to exit or be aware the last person the take a shit, hopefully, used the hot water to wash his hands... I would say it is person 2's fault for not assuming the water may be hot, or not remembering which side is hot or cold. |
