Serious question.
I missed the series growing up and i got 6 mos. If Amazon Prime for free so i started watching it.
I enjoy it.
Its actually pretty grown up for a cartoon.
The first season has some serious relationships between the characters... all hetero
But
There are a few hidden gay themes.
Like how the aliens freak out seeing man and woman kissing.
So far ive seen a couple instances of cross dressing.
Now im in the second season and its apparent to me that Robotech is a major inspiration for tge technology in the matrix.
So i am wondering if somehow nuances in Robotech were sort of identified with and taken into a state of approval by the Wachowskis and possibly others to go trans.
Any thoughts glp?
Quoting: Undestroyer Robotech is actually three separate series loosely woven together into one by Harmony gold. So any difference you see between season 1 and season 2 was caused by different writers and even production companies. There is nothing in Robotech that was included in the matrix in any alliteration of the matrix themes. The Wachowskis blatantly stole the matrix designs from GITS especially the falling cascade of green kanji characters, the matrix uses to visualize the computing programs used to create the illusion of reality. Try as you might you cannot pick out one major plot device from Robotech that is duplicated in the matrix.
