A 3,000-year-old Bible-contradicting temple discovered near Jerusalem

Tel Aviv University has unveiled the results of excavations that started in 2019 near Jerusalem in a place called Tel Moha. A temple was discovered there, the very existence of which casts doubt on some biblical records.

The opening report can be found on the university’s website. The monumental temple complex was discovered in 2012 by archaeologists of the Israeli Antiquities Authority. It dates from the end of X - the beginning of IX centuries BC

It is believed that on this site was the city of Moha, which is mentioned in the Bible. It was an administrative center, the inhabitants of which were engaged in the storage and distribution of grain.

The first academic excavations were started here in the spring of 2019. Archaeologists have managed to fully excavate and explore two cult buildings. Interestingly, they were located one above the other: a later temple was built on the site of an earlier one.

The Bible details the religious reforms of King Hezekiah and King Josiah, who consolidated worship practices to Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, and eliminated cultic activity beyond its boundaries.

Moha yields zero results in the Bible.

But it does appear in the Quran / Koran.

However that book and prophet appeared 600 years after Jesus.

So maybe that's why it's wrong.

Also Buddhism.

Moha

Buddhism

Moha is a Vedic concept of character affliction or poison, and refers to "delusion, confusion, dullness". It is sometimes synonymous with "ignorance"

Hmmm, looking like a trend.

How do they know it's a temple? Does it have altars? I see this all the time with ancient ruins, they say yeah it's a tmple when it just looks like a room.

Unfortunately - More often than not, or typically...

These "experts" fabricate dates, and mistranslate names (use subterfuge) to fit ("their") alleged "theory".

A good archaeological discovery is always interesting, but dates and names are more likely Fraud than not...

There is no contradiction to the bible in finding 10th century BC Pagan worship in Israel...

This is the time of King Solomon (970-931 BC) who's Official institutionalized pagan worship was condemned by the Creator and less than 200 years after his death divided the Kingdom into Israel in the North and Judah in the South anever to be re-united.

(The secret societies think King Solomon is the Messiah returning)

Israel in the North officially set up pagan worship after this split , was invaded by Asyria in the 8th century and disappeared from history to this day.

Hezekiah king of Judah was in 8th century BC (786-686 BC) - He destroyed pagan worship sites and priests

Josiah King of Judah was early 7th century BC (640-609 BC)- He also destroyed pagan worship sites and priests

After Josiah's death his son's openly brought pagan worship back and within 25 years Babylon invaded and destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem. Judah was taken off the land for 70 years.
