Think of it like this:

3 weeks ago thereabouts: 54 cases

3 weeks later (today): 67,192 cases and 1527 deaths... and if it this is real, we know those numbers may be underestimated by up to 20x in some estimates.

Real or not, you can't blame anyone else for taking this all any particular way... The imagery is gnarly/shocking enough to warrant all of the discussion and speculation.
