Hospitals running out of room along with morgues.

This isn't that out of the ordinary for a large city. Jan and Feb are the highest months for deaths: suicides, overdoses, older folks dying.

I've seen morgues full before. How many bodies are they housing? I saw a county morgue that could hold only 15!!! Until they updated it with a big walk-in cooler at a new facility, now they have room for 40+.

I've taken 15 in over a long weekend before.

I was picking up at Wayne county one Monday and they said they took in 199 over the weekend! 150 had to be posted! You just have to have the correct facilities and the right number of staff to handle it. Apparently Indianapolis doesn't.

Yup. The first week of January 2014 I lived up NE of that area. 8 people dead in one night in a drug/money dispute. Murder is a daily occurrence around Indy. Not far from both Gary, IN and Chicago...

A President has Govenors and Mayors who are supposed to do their jobs and not let it to come to this. Put the blame on the citizens and the powers that control their towns and cities.

But you already knew this and instead of solving a problem you choose to try and cause trouble.

This city has gone to s**t the past decade. Even Trump talked to the Chief of the FOP and was telling him to get it together.

Homicides are drastically increased. This past weekend we had 10 shootings. One of the incidents was a quadruple homicide.

This used to be a nice place. The Indianapolis Circle used to be a fun place to go on the weekends. When you look back at pictures from the 60's and 70's you wouldn't believe it. A huge JCPenney was there with architecture admired by Frank Lloyd Wright. Now? It's all gone and thugs roam freely.

You can go on the 4th of July because there is such a heavy police presence. But outside of that, I wouldn't chance it.

The problem is unclaimed bodies, The families of gangbangers, drugged up folks and illegals don’t claim them. Using that Social Security death benefit for Meth is more important to them than cremating or burying the mother they have been sponging off of.

I believe it. Burial is expensive and most of these folks just don't care. You never hear about the funerals.

Let's look at the reason's why maybe. People far more intelligent than millennialss are starting to get heart disease and diabetes and die. Women's alcoholism has also increased. Gen X is killing themselves at an epidemic rate.

Not to mention that heroin has become cheap and more potent. Driving while texting is also the first cause of death among the young too. Then there is the regular seasonal flu not to mention the possibilities of undiagnosed other viruses.

When people actually start dropping dead in the streets then I will worry. For now, it is just the days and times we live in.

Simple problem to fix really, Just build more Coroner's offices.

I live 50 miles or so from there. They say it's because of crime. Shootings. Last week or maybe it was just the weekend. 5 people killed. How much room do you need to stack body's.
