it doesnt!

Have you ever left food (or anything with moisture content) in a microwave?

There are various types of mold. Mold also requires a host. The host must be something with moisture content.
Anything can host mold if it is in an environment which has either humidity, moisture, standing liquids, etc.

Wood, fabric, paper, plastic, tile, etc. can all be hosts for mold, if there is some form of moisture/liquid involved.

I would certainly HOPE you do not have a moldy microwave, if you did, you've left your food in there and forgotten about it.

From what I recall (someone else who knows more about EMF, correct me if this isn't accurate) EMF can actually induce mold if a mold host is actively present.

Such as a piece of bread with mold- if you expose the moldy bread to a consistent low/moderate level of EMF, the EMF can encourage the growth of preexisting mold.

In Short: EMF can help to encourage the worsening of preexisting mold, or encourage the "birth" of mold if the environment is already ideal.
