I'm growing spinach, sweet corn, winter squash, potatoes, beets, and carrots.

Here is a video about growing carrots from a gardener I follow.

We just have raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, mirabelles, tomatoes and kumquats in the garden at the moment..

The storms have destroyed all our trellises and blown all pots and tomato planters over.

Nothing yet. We are soaked. Can’t even walk to the garden, much less in it. No cabbage, lettuce or potatoes this year....should already be in in the ground.

Re: What are you growing in the garden this year.
I had GREAT success with containers last year. A 5 gallon bucket is perfect for peppers. I had 1 Celebrity tomato in a 18 gallon tub that kept my wife and I supplied all season long. I snuck a few cucumbers in her flower bed chuckle had cucumbers coming out my ears. The cucumbers I planted in another 18 gallon tub developed and produced faster than the ones in the ground. For shit and giggles I put some potatoes in after the cucumbers had died off and ended up with 5 pounds of baby potatoes for Thanksgiving. I bought a bag of red onions for 3 bucks at Walmart..not quite sure how or where to plant them.

I planted my goji from seed. This is it's 4th year, I am going to get my first berries this year. I had some flowers late in the year last year but too late for the berries to ripen. Excited to try my first goji berries this year after all that work (the cat, the chickens, the deer, birds and aphids did their best to eat them all but I saved one, It was over 6 ft tall last year and got big thorns, it can defend it's self now LOL.

I started with only 6 strawberry and one raspberry plant. Now I have more now than I can handle. I dig up the new shoots all summer to keep them from taking over a very large area, even in a very harsh climate.

Me too. Pumpkins, hard squash, melons, sunflower seeds, potatoes, onions, garlic, beets, carrots, cabbage, potatoes. I get them to last fresh most of the winter. Even my tomatoes last fresh till Christmas. Other stuff I can, dry freeze and pickle.
