Right, I read a bit of the article itself, and it is definitely fake, and by someone who is not familiar with chinese culture.  It could be just communist party propaganda, as the article points out. And that would dovetail with it being passed around by "Chinese elites." It's a strange situation over there, a totally different culture. 100% fake. Winter in Gansu and Xinjiang, no crops, no locusts. They are both rather barren anyway. Jigong was a famous historic monk who lived in the 12th century, not a "gentleman." try googling locusts and the city mentioned. it's real.
