Simple sustenance fishing is not hard and anyone can do it.

I am not talking about trophy fishing, I am talking about putting protein in the pan for you and your family

"learn to code" wasa clever meme not long ago

"Learn to fish" is a much better one and very applicable

No lakes around me that aren't polluted with Roundup and a lot of other pesticides and fertilizers. Fresh water no longer exists and salt water fish have mercury and corexit and radiation.

I’ve done some research and the smaller the fish, the less mercury content. Catfish is too big, but trout is often just fine to eat.

correct...the bottom feeders are no go territory...that includes the carp...the have too many toxins in them when they get over 24" or so

now saying that, the flathead catfish is not a bottom feeder, it is purely a predator....it is generally safer to eat than it's cousins the channel, bullhead and blue

but remember, predators concentrate the toxins that are present in their prey so.....eating big flatheads might not be a good idea either
