They aren't really testing officially. South Korea did a comprehensive job of testing and it was doubling every day.

The virus is airborne to an extent and can survive on surfaces. Not to mention the long incubation times coupled with the asymptomatic spread.

You get one case in a major city and within weeks that city will be saturated.

The quarantine Canada is ordering really isn't quarantine. But self isolation. You gotta rely on their honor that they win leave their homes. Even if they fulfill it, do they have roommates or maybe living with family?

I'm not going to be surprised at all if in two weeks there's people sick all over Canada.

The first few weeks of the virus hitting the news was that racism is the worst part about it. Now we're in a full blown pandemic situation.

If you go around the world map and calculate the death rates, the death rates for developed countries is very low, usually under 1%.

The highest death rates are in poorer countries with bad healthcare, and easily overwhelmed hospitals, like what's happening in Wuhan, China, and Iran.
