Simple Zero Impact Measures That Can Be Taken Right Now To Prevent The Spread of COVID That Aren't Being Mandated
There are simple measures that should be taken RIGHT NOW to minimize this with zero impact. These are simple damn things that the WHO and CDC should be encouraging and mandating, NONE of the below will have any impact on the economy or local business, in fact it may save some businesses money!

Please add to this list so we can further point out the utter incompetence of the WHO, CDC and DHS.

1) All people that can work from home with no impact on business should stay home nationwide. That alone will prevent millions of people from coming into contact with millions of others right off the bat! Has that been suggested or done, NO.

2) Set up testing stations that do NOTHING BUT THAT to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed.

3) Order Groceries online and pick them up, almost all Grocery stores have that option available now.

4) All airlines must provide masks for passengers MANDATORY!

5) Place hand washing stations at the entrance of all federal and state buildings.

6) Throw out or suspend the court dates of all minor traffic offenses. :)

People will need meds, doctor appts, etc.

Kids are disease factories. They get everything going.

I'm not implying that people isolate themselves. I'm saying that if people that can work from home, do they won't be in the office, or stopping for coffee, breakfast, lunch, be in the break rooms etc.

Of course people will still need to travel and get meds, pick up kids etc. BUT if a parent is working from home it will also eliminate the need for daycare for the their kids, which is a huge benefit to this strategy. This alone will eliminate BILLIONS of opportunities for spreading this, such as handshakes, sneezes, break rooms, hallways.. the list goes on and on. In fact someone get me in touch with a damn decision maker in the CDC or the WHO, I need to be running that bitch!

There is absolutely no reason why schooling for children can't be implemented online.

The American public's tax dollars for schools act as payment for babysitters so people can go to work.

2) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it?

3) It's an option, but stores are going to be overwhelmed if everyone starts doing it.

4) There's a massive mask shortage in the US right now because people are panic buying them.

5) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it.

Then they are really dumb, plus I'm talking about ALL businesses, fuck the gov, we all know they are stupid anyway. I work from home 3 days per week and it saves my company thousands per year just for me alone. My boss loves it because I get more done and work more hours because I'm comfortable at home and have no commute.

2) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it?

CDC and WHO should already have this done, it is why they have budgets and get paid to plan for emergency responses. If they can't because they didn't plan or cut the budget, fire all of them, this is a basic requirement of that organization.

3) It's an option, but stores are going to be overwhelmed if everyone starts doing it.

They have schedules on their websites to prevent them from getting overwhelmed by scheduling only the number of pickups they can handle.

4) There's a massive mask shortage in the US right now because people are panic buying them.

Fix it, I'm sure a manufacturer here in the US will GLADLY step up and take that money! Someone needs to make that shit happen, like we used to when American's kicked ass and took names!

5) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it.

The CDC, it should be in their budget, again, simple planning. A hand washing station is cheap and easy to implement. I just solved it with a 5 second google search. [$1035.00 for a two person station with a 60 Gallon Tank.] See link.

On #5, there's no reason to wait and spend over $1000.00 to wash your hands. Get a bowl from the dollar store, some bleach water in a spray bottle and a roll of paper towels. Done. Improve it at your own convenience. The idea is to do things that make an impact NOW, not wait on ceremony.

I understand that, responsible people do things like that, the simple fact is you have to account for inconsiderate idiots. The hand washing station at the entrance of State and Federal buildings would be a good counter measure for the "idiot impact", if not a full blown Hand Washing Station, then at least the same things that Walmart has and make it mandatory to use it upon entry.

these are fine ideas for prevention.

effective too:

get your sleep - at least 8 hours a night.

de-stress. Will keep your cortisol down. Cortisol promotes infection.

breathe in fresh air. this was a huge boon during times when tuberculosis killed millions in Europe and America.

do not touch your face in public. this is good against any infectious agent, even airborne ones that may have landed on your hands.

- Schools that have capability of switching to online learning should do so and close down. My daughters school already has this so parents can access the study guides and lessen plans.

- they should begin taking the temperatures of children coming to school as they enter and send all children home with fevers. School nurse should have masks etc. for sick children while they are waiting for parents to pick up.

- Same as above for office and factory workers. Even small establishments can find a person to track employee temperatures and send home anyone with a fever. If this is put in place people would stay home in the first place.

- Public Transportation, Mass transit. If you don't need it don't use it. If mass transit is to continue, they should offer all passengers gloves and masks upon entering a station location and should be a criteria of using public transportation.

- Many companies are shutting down employee travel, especially when it is possible to have meetings and conferences via video or teleconference. I work from home and and work with this daily. Even when training employees.

- Private doctors office doctors and nurses, receptionists should be using masks, goggles and gloves when working with patients across the board. If they get sick, we all get it from them.

This should have already been done many years ago. (Simply to avoid useless commutes, traffic, pollution, etc.)

But businesses/managers hate this, so this will never happen, until actual doom is upon us.

25% accurate tests.

What you bet it doesn't exist and its just flu/cold.

And what you bet the initial ones that did have it and that they flounced out to the world to pretend a pandemic, HAD THOSE VACCINATIONS.

So, nada.

Don't crash the economy.
The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist.

That will still not help.

Agreed, OP. Instead it's manufactured hysteria to destroy the global economy.

I take precautions all of the time with WASHING MY HANDS. When I go into a store I use Purell wipes, if they have them, before and after and I wash when I get home. I don't get sick very often. My worst vector is my husband who I caught my cold from.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

Normalize every aberrant behavior, bring common all deviancy and let fly the reins of morality and reason, then welcome in that utopia that liberals embrace called communism, that which most Americans with but a shard of ethic would immediately recognize as evil.
