Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77389623 People will need meds, doctor appts, etc. Kids are disease factories. They get everything going. This may be ELE! I'm not implying that people isolate themselves. I'm saying that if people that can work from home, do they won't be in the office, or stopping for coffee, breakfast, lunch, be in the break rooms etc. Of course people will still need to travel and get meds, pick up kids etc. BUT if a parent is working from home it will also eliminate the need for daycare for the their kids, which is a huge benefit to this strategy. This alone will eliminate BILLIONS of opportunities for spreading this, such as handshakes, sneezes, break rooms, hallways.. the list goes on and on. In fact someone get me in touch with a damn decision maker in the CDC or the WHO, I need to be running that bitch! |

These are simple damn things that the WHO and CDC should be encouraging and mandating, NONE of the below will have any impact on the economy or local business, in fact it may save some businesses money! Quoting: HE-B-GB Please add to this list so we can further point out the utter incompetence of the WHO, CDC and DHS. 1) All people that can work from home with no impact on business should stay home nationwide. That alone will prevent millions of people from coming into contact with millions of others right off the bat! Has that been suggested or done, NO. 2) Set up testing stations that do NOTHING BUT THAT to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed. 3) Order Groceries online and pick them up, almost all Grocery stores have that option available now. 4) All airlines must provide masks for passengers MANDATORY! 5) Place hand washing stations at the entrance of all federal and state buildings. 6) Throw out or suspend the court dates of all minor traffic offenses. :) 1) I will just note that the Trump administration clamped down on teleworking by government employees. 2) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it? 3) It's an option, but stores are going to be overwhelmed if everyone starts doing it. 4) There's a massive mask shortage in the US right now because people are panic buying them. 5) How much is this going to cost and who is going to do it. 6) No problem with this one. |

I understand that, responsible people do things like that, the simple fact is you have to account for inconsiderate idiots. The hand washing station at the entrance of State and Federal buildings would be a good counter measure for the "idiot impact", if not a full blown Hand Washing Station, then at least the same things that Walmart has and make it mandatory to use it upon entry. |

My daughters school already has this so parents can access the study guides and lessen plans. - they should begin taking the temperatures of children coming to school as they enter and send all children home with fevers. School nurse should have masks etc. for sick children while they are waiting for parents to pick up. - Same as above for office and factory workers. Even small establishments can find a person to track employee temperatures and send home anyone with a fever. If this is put in place people would stay home in the first place. - Public Transportation, Mass transit. If you don't need it don't use it. If mass transit is to continue, they should offer all passengers gloves and masks upon entering a station location and should be a criteria of using public transportation. - Many companies are shutting down employee travel, especially when it is possible to have meetings and conferences via video or teleconference. I work from home and and work with this daily. Even when training employees. - Private doctors office doctors and nurses, receptionists should be using masks, goggles and gloves when working with patients across the board. If they get sick, we all get it from them. |
