Right now in China, there are 8,346 serious cases of COVID-19 being treated.

We may need more than twice the number of hospital beds available in two months time.

I predict we may have to build temporary facilities as they have in China.

Why so many in hospital with the flu?

Bad flu season according to the government/CDC.

Dont know why, but for some time in my area, the weather has been very warm and sunny, and last week I started a thread about what I observed when I took my daughter to the hospital around lunchtime, and ALL the seats and wheel chairs were filled with very sick, unhappy folks

That's what pushing the panic button does. Trump tried so hard to avoid that very scenario.

Maybe some of these hospitalized "flu" patients are really COVID-19 patients which we haven't tested yet or which tested as false negatives.

Many do -- it takes several tests after contact sometimes to verify. Very long incubation period according to Chinese reports and patients can be contagious during the incubation period.

Are they sure that some of the flu cases are not corona virus cases instead? It's not like they are testing people who present with flu symptoms for the Corona virus. It's like the authorities don't want to know the truth that the Corona Virus had been circulating around for weeks now infecting people and even killing them. Their attitude is just label it death from the flu rather than find out the truth.

Many Americans avoid going to the the hospital when they should because they can't afford to anyway. Many Americans work when they are to sick to work because they can't miss the hours on their paycheck.

This virus will spread like wildfire here and probably already has.

Translation...Coronadoom is particularly bad this year.

But lets not panic the sheep...and just call it the flu.

Because they keep stuffing people with the flu in them! Poor bastards are probably freaked out thinking they've got a terminal case of corona virus.

Corona virus is already here and we are handling it. Lots of people are going to get sick and die. However, that's life, and it's not like everyone is going to fall ill on the same day. We have the best medical facilities in the world. We can handle this.

Every sizable town has a bunch of motels and hotels which can be used to treat people. Wow, each room already has a bathroom and everything = assign a nurse to each floor and an undertaker per place and there ya go. Kitchen can make the food and serve it on disposable plates - that medical waste is then bagged by nurse and thrown out so staff never comes in contact with the patients.

Just burn the hotel afterwards then, I guess.
