Anonymous Coward User ID: 77699866 United States 02/28/2020 12:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I want to add I survived a huge fire in California that had a great loss of life and homes. Very, very few homes in our area survived. We had people coming into our area all hours of the day and night. Took the sheriff over 40 minutes to get here. Let me just say that on the night of the fire we told our neighbors to evacuate early. They basically ignored our warning (they would have had 3 hours to load their vehicles) and ended up leaving a few minutes before we did (with our vehicles packed) and they didn't even have their wallets or photos. When we all returned they basically ignored us. Let that sink in. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77507849 They're probably ashamed and pissed they didn't act earlier..... |

Quoting: BFD Buy stuff you will actually use if this blows over. I hate rice and beans. Is flavored water okay? There is no hope for you. Good luck! My thinking exactly Swoopster. My Mother-In-Law started the whole "I don't like crackers because they are fattening, I don't like rice, I don't like etc., etc." We told her it's not necessarily about foods you ONLY like, for God sake. It is about survival in case the SHTF. You stock up on not only some foods you like that are sustainable, but ones that are practical and will go the farthest with not only the money you can spend, but will last for months/years. Rice, beans, Spam, lentils, split peas, oats will go a long way and will last a long time. Water is not only to drink but to cook and bathe with as well, brush teeth, etc. He has given up telling her what to get because she will not get out of the mindset that she does not like certain foods that store well. SMH. And, while flavored water is tasty, it won't taste too good to cook with. Get a majority of plain old water. PLEASE. |

We had NO running water for over 100 days and it had contamination for almost a year and a half, so you couldn't drink it. If It really gets to be a SHTF scenario be prepared for accelerated bug and vermin populations because of garbage and environmental changes. Also, you can never have too much water. We still keep refilled one gallon water bottles under the bathroom sinks in case our water goes out (it did several times since the fire) to at least flush our toilets. We took half of our empty water bottles in for recycling and got $132, and we will get more for the rest of them. That gives you an idea of how much water we drank. Being in survival mode can be exhausting and we are older too. Since we prepped for several years the foods we had came in handy. Canned green beans are good but they have very few calories or nutritional value. You are better off with other vegetables. We were eating canned chili, soups, hash, etc. I actually lost 15 pounds because of the change of lifestyle. It is very stressful, believe me. Any questions about surviving please ask. |

MMS or CDS, and use it every waking hour 2. Then rotate with taking mega-doses of Vit. C any way I can. (NOT in the same 4 hr time window as the MMS) I'd try to find a naturopath doctor to give me mega-doses in IV form, like 100g-200g/day, and I'd also begin taking oral Vit. C powder as well, up to my bowel tolerance per day. 3. I'd also be taking mega-doses of Vitamin D3 to try to boost my immune system. (~40,000 iu/day) But I wouldn't take it all the time as taking too much can be harmful. 4. I might take some Zinc lozenges early, as they might also help reduce the severity of the cough symptoms. 5. And I'd order some food grade Hydrogen Peroxide, dilute it to 1.5-3%, put it in a vaporizer, and inhale it deep into my lungs several times a day. 6. Lastly, I'd try to find supplements that can help stop cytokine storms, such as Turmeric, Cayenne, Garlic, Olive Leaf Extract, consuming Apple Cider Vinegar, inhaling filtered & vaporized (or simmering) Apple Cider Vinegar, lightly inhaling vaporized MMS (not overdoing it), and look for other anti-cytokine storm-specific supplements That’s so so overwhelming... I don’t like dooms! |

Soups, chili, things like that. You will need the soups if you get sick anyway. Then stock up on ALL the over the counter things you would normally buy to get through the flu virus. Mega doses of vitamin C...NOW!!! Electrolytes, Nyquil, Vicks, you want a humidifier AND a personal steam inhaler...in case you get sick you can try to keep things from getting worse by doing common sense things. You are running out of time to buy in bulk on some of these things though..better get to it. Ask Alice when she's 10ft tall This is a battle for the future of civilization.
