CRISPR can already cure many diseases. Much of it is held up by the FDA. It's the future of medical treatment and it's already doing wonders for many people, the problem is we have no idea what the fuck happens when you mess with genomes.

Also, you can already buy anti-virals from India that pretty much cure the common cold. I buy them all the time when I feel I'm getting sick (Because you can't buy them in the US due to FDA regulations). The side affects are mostly harming viruses that kill harmful bacteria because it destroys their RNA replication and causes bad bacteria build up. But if you live in a first world country, you don't have much to worry about that here. If you don't believe me, look it up, it all started with Tamiflu and now you can buy tons of that shit. You want to know why people get reinfected with coronavirus? Because they're using anti-virals and it doesn't really build up your immune system. And it's not like your immune system is going to prevent another viral infection as your anti-bodies fade away after a few months, which you'll get reinfected again, so you might as well munch on those anti-virals all the time until the virus is gone.
