We have a school closed in Vacaville, CA because of the possible corona virus.....that’s less than 75 miles away and my child’s school when asked what they’re doing to prevent corona virus at the school......”hadn’t really done much at this point “ and didn’t have a plan in place if there was an outbreak. While I know that this is likely not a huge pandemic like they’re pushing, my wife is a nurse at a major hospital in the region and they’re a bit spooked about it, with several potential cases in our area and one that was “transferred to a Folsom hospital” from Travis AFB....they aren’t equipped to deal with this in Folsom, it should have gone to UC DAVIS !

I went to my regular doctors appointment today and they are affiliated with Ohiohealth and they asked me if I have been around anybody sick, if I have had the flu recently, or if I have traveled internationally and that’s never been done before obviously

I work at a community hospital in SoCal, and just scanned my first CV patient. They said it isn’t official since the test results aren’t back, but they or a family member had some Chinese connection.

The CT looked similar to ones posted here, where they had the”ground glass” effect in their lower lungs. Pt was vented.

We were required to wear N95 masks, gowns, etc, but according to posts I’ve read here, the masks are useless?! Guess I’m gonna find out. Also they suddenly required all employees to wear masks in the ED area.

Anyways this went from nothingburger to FuckingA, real quick.

I worked at a hospital in 2018 OP has done no breach as you claim.
He can discuss the case with anyone as long as he does NOT disclose the patients NAME, then it becomes a HIPPA issue.
Best not to mention which hospital either but that's not a HIPPA issue.

My friend is a ob nurse in eastern West Virginia. She stopped by to visit a few nights ago. She was telling me that the hospital director finally told them this will get worse before it gets better.
She said they offered no additional PPE’s and were asking for volunteers to join the epidemiology team to prepare for what’s coming.
