Stock up on these: Claritin/Benadryl, Pepcid and Prilosec.
These are the drugs that will prevent a Cytokine Storm in your body if you get the CV:

Proton Pump Inhibitors: Prilosec

H1 Antagonist: Claritin, Benadryl

H2 Antagonist: Pepcid

These might just save your/loved one life.

Cheap and easy to get. Most of the population does not know so they should be easy to find.

Inhibition of cytokine secretion from human leukemic mast cells and basophils by H1- and H2-receptor antagonists.

Basically what that means is that they stop the body from going into overdrive and turning on itself.

Mast cells are what cause reactions when you get stung by a bee for example.

Trust me... I know, I am severely allergic to them.

Take it or leave it, but it might just save your life.

I personally would use them as directed as soon as I felt any symptoms.

You can take all three together, but I would Google for any interactions to make sure.

I can tell you this last summer, I was stung by a bee and a wasp and had a severe allergic reaction. I was in the middle of the forest, about 45 min from civilization, and had an epi-pen as well as all of those listed.

I took all three and then drove for the ER. Half way there I started to have swelling in the lips/throat and my wife jammed the epi-pen into my leg.

Anyways I am sure those drugs, as well as the epi-pen, helped me big time.

Just my .02

Thanks to the shill he gave me red for suggesting PPI. Some BS about it wrecking your good gut flora.

Pro tip shill: If you have a Cytokine Storm, good gut flora won't do anything to help you.

I always get a dry cough this time of year. I have started the Prilosec and my cough has been well managed. I was likely experiencing some sort of stomach acid/herd related reflux resulting in the cough. I was glad to see this posted a month ago. Thumbs up to glp

The Benadryl/Pepcid combo is good if you get stung by a bee and have an allergic reaction with no atropine pen available

So it makes sense to me

She takes Rituxan ( [link to www.drugs.com (secure)] and Methotrexate.

Really a bummer. She was a perfectly healthy girl one day and then had a gnarly case of strep throat. They think it kicked her immune system into overdrive, marked good cells as bad cells and the rest is history. Untreated they said she would live 18-24 months.

The Rituxan is like $20k a dose and she gets like 6-10 a year.

Crazy!

Yeah, Take Pepcid instead.

There are risks to everything, but a Cytokine Storm is critical. If I had to take something that MIGHT cause cancer with long time use to stop a life threatening situation, then I will take my chances.
