The shadows remind me of the words that are stretched out until undecipherable.

I think that stuff is called "anamorphic" art... I always thought that one Hans Holbein skull in that one painting was pretty cool.

The shadows are long and stretched out because the sun in that scene is close to setting so it's raking across the ground... I see why that looks similar.

add a 'pool' somewhere dude.

Dear Miss Cleo, the Martian sky turns blue in the end of the movie, because Arnold had managed to turn on the Alien Air Manufacturing Plant ... of course the speed of atmospheric transformation is unrealistically fast, I suppose, but then again, the eye balls bulging out is also unrealistic or unscientific ...

It requires almost inhuman attention to catch it on first viewing, but if you have a chance to re-watch this classic masterpiece, pay attention what happens when Arnold is in the REKALL office, what kind of dream/memory package he wants, and especially, is there a certain female face shown on the monitors ...

but, suppose the later events after the REKALL visit are VR ... there is a problem then, because the movie shows scenes that are outside of Arnold's first person experience ... like the villains plotting etc ....

but, it just happens in the movies that when it supposedly presents a first person narrative, the movie might still shows things that fall outside of the first person experience ... recently I saw an old movie "Letter from an unknown woman" , it has this same "problem"


in the end you have settle down accepting that movies are movies you cannot definitely conclude what is real and what is not in problematic cases

BFD, those desert renderings are amazing, they look very much like somewhat faded out old photos, like in old Time/Life books from the early 60s ...

but I wonder if you are overdoing the "aerial perspective" effect ... isn't the desert air supposed to be very clear?

the coma patient might think he's already dead which is not good I think
