It's listed as December 13 on federal calendars it's the national guard birthday it's the same day in every state every year .

Good for recruiting.

It certainly is good for recruiting especially when dod enacted pandemic response plan last week. That plan specifically limits contact with the civilian population .

For as long as I can remember, National Guard members would train one weekend a month, get paid, and get all kinds of government benefits.

Years ago, I knew men who laughed at the government for paying them for playing war games one or two days a month on US soil. They were never in danger. Once the Bush administration deployed them to Iraq or Afghanistan, they were saying....Hey, how dare you do this to us. We were supposed to have it easy only once a month.

Why "National Guard Day" when DOD has been readied for Pandemic response?
Why would our Military risk exposure for our Soldiers when they have been actively preparing for quarantines and isolation?

On the other hand "Don't worry it's National Guard Day" as the Military preposition throughout the country.
