Well we have had plans in place for a long time regarding the requirement to deploy the Armed Forces on UK streets, known as ‘Operation Temperer’.

This is slightly different as Operation Temperer is driven by a requirement following a terrorist attack.

But don’t forget we are actually extremely well trained but more importantly ‘experienced’ in this due to the history in Northern Ireland.....

The only caveat I would apply to that is ‘it’s more important for the ‘Demographic Public’ to be familiar with the presence than simply the troops be ‘experienced’ in it.’
