Great topic OP - everyone has been so obsessed with the tsunami that is coming in 10 days that no one has asked the question: what comes after?

Let’s play out the scenario, first.

A massive wave of infections is coming that sweeps through the United States and Europe, then Latin America, overloading hospitals and killing millions.

Will the fabric of society hold together? I believe that it will. Even if 500 million did worldwide and 50 million in the US, the human race will survive and carry on as-is. Some countries here in Latin America might collapse into narco states or dictatorships, but I expect business as usual up north...

Except.

Except if this isn’t just a killer virus that sweeps over us and disappears, but a chronic, seasonal attack that comes back even stronger in October. If that happens OP, all bets are off.
