I don't know why you are saying a copper supplement is more dangerous mixed with vitamin c? I looked it up, and vit. c acts to lower your copper levels. I'd say that copper is likely to be beneficial against viruses, but you should never take more than the recommended amount due to the chance of copper toxicity if you take too much. Of course, this goes for a lot of different supplements and medicines. Never take more than recommended dose! Except vit. c, that won't hurt you. You'll just pee any excess of that out. |

There have actually been studies that show that zinc does shorten the time frame of a cold. It is believed that this coronavirus is a form of a cold virus, so maybe zinc would be more useful to fight this coronavirus. In four randomized human trials it was found that zinc gluconate (it was this specific form at a dosage of around 70mg a day during the cold) shortened the duration of the cold by 28%. It was also found that if the daily dosage was higher (ie over 80mg) that the cold duration was shortened by 33% to 45%. So there are studies that show that zinc is beneficial for shortening the duration of a cold virus. |
