The Pyramid theory is interesting. My opinion is that Niburu or some other large celestial body was passing by and came close enough to Mars to cause electrical arcing.

Some images show pyramids on Mars. It could stand to reason that they were somehow communicating with the Pyramids through the SUN and something flew between Mars and Earth at one point causing a short.
