Jesus. I literally just learned the same about a good friend of my best friend. He worked in the medical center in West Houston, early fifties, perfect health, Asian American (Vietnamese). Got a unusually strong flu and 2 weeks later (2 days ago) he dropped dead of a sudden heart attack. They are currently running tests to see if he had the Coronavirus. This matches what I read here hours ago in GLP about people with COVID-19 in Fort Bend/Sugarland (a suburb of Houston). My friend is having dinner with his treating doctor (an acquaintance of mine, close friend of the Vietnamese and very close friend of my friend. He's also one of the "big shots" of the medical world here in town) and the director of the Methodist hospital here in Houston (huge hospital) and both of them are very concerned. I'll know the actual tests results from my friend and will share them here as soon as I know.

He said you would not believe the people in their 50s n 60s would just die..

My dad now 71..in good health.. But death does happen when young..

It's interesting that she was a nurse and that she had fluid on her brain, and that she had "gotten over" the flu a few weeks back.

Recall the people just dropping dead in China.

We've seen (in one documented study even) how Corona crosses the blood-brain barrier and can cause encephalitis.

What if even after she had "recovered" from "flu" (aka corona), she died LATER from it due to its other effects (including on the brain)? What if this thing causes organ damage?

I think that it is THIS scenario we've been concerned about, that even if you don't die from the initial pulmonary episode, other organs get damaged leading to long-term health effects. We had the one Chinese scientist state that this is a combination of SARS and AIDS (based on autopsies) and that it did cause organ damage.

I had wondered about the people who suddenly dropped dead, why would they be walking around if they had the fever and other symptoms of an active infection? Maybe they had already "gotten over" it and then there was a secondary effect/attack. Perhaps it was a combination of a pulmonary embolism (due to the lung scarring caused by the corona a few weeks prior) along with encephalitis (w/ fluid on the brain).
