Why cant they use a CRISPR modified virus to fuck up Covid19?

Why cant they use a CRISPR modified virus to fuck up Covid19?
Using the power of Los Alamos or one of the other labs and their genius minds and supercomputers, and using the CRISPR CAS9 technology why cant they design a virus that can be deployed everywhere that does something to either fuck up Covid19's genome in such a way it will never cause us a problem ever again or in a way that out competes it and the CRISPR engineered virus is harmless like a common cold or something... Im just saying if this is as serious as you all say why cant they divert all the top minds and have a sort of manhattan project to get this done, and sign blank cheques until they have the cure/antidote.

you obviously didnt watch the resident evil series, they created with those methods, but mother nature set it free, it mutated and is beyond their control, still they think they can control it and survive it long enough to reap the rewards of a culled population, its not in their interest to find a cure yet and they dont need the money from a vax since they control the banks etc so its all about control and power thats it.
