He probably isn't. The flu deaths worldwide are just that high. As of a month ago, there were something like 80 thousand deaths just in this flu season. It has killed many more since but they have stopped releasing the numbers because they're making coronachan seem insignificant.

The reason "the flu kills more people" is because we have more known cases of seasonal flu. If we see coronavirus cases in as high of numbers, the number of deaths will be higher than the flu. Hopefully that doesnt happen.
