you call it a 'credit freeze'. does that mean regular bank accounts or i guess its called debit, would not be frozen?

As far as I understand it, and I can be wrong, you may have trouble accessing cash from your bank account.

I have 230k in a savings account, 7340k cash on me. My credit score of 875 is meaningless if they freeze. Might take out enough to make it 10k but what if they ban cash due to being a virus transmission risk?

I hadn't thought about that. I would still accept cash from someone in a private sale and then just sterilize the money in a delicates bag in the dryer.

Credit freeze doesn't mean credit cards. It means corporate credit. And at a time like this that's very bad. Means bankers will not loan the market back up. Very bad.

Consumer credit(cards) may be affected but that's the least of the problem. Businesses won't be able to operate.

That's fine because I will be glad to buy anyone's valuables for cash. Gold, jewelry, antiques, collectibles. etc. You need to afford a can of bean soup? Just come see me.
