ElleMira (OP) User ID: 76494359 United States 03/10/2020 10:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, there are some that want coronavirus to bring down our nation - there are others who flat out believe the coronavirus doesn't exist. I won't entertain either of those camps. I think it's important to prep - prepare for the worst, hope for the best & be open minded as new information comes in. This strain came out 4 mos ago so we really don't have sufficient data, numbers, statistics. It could be apocalyptic, it could be flu like. The flu is nothing to downplay either - especially for those at higher risk. |

I'm shocked. According to Dr. Emily Landon infectious disease specialist at Uchicago medical "It looks like only about 20% of people who contract this novel coronavirus need to be hospitalized. The other 80% get what feels like a bad cold and recover at home. A lot of this has to do with underlying medical conditions. People who are more vulnerable to any kind of infection — because of their age or chronic health conditions — are more at risk for getting really sick from COVID-19. " [link to www.uchicagomedicine.org (secure)] The "cases" are only the elderly sick, immune compromised people who find it necessary to see a Dr for a freakin chest cold. For each of those "cases" at least 4 others recover without seeing a dr or being counted. and its that way worldwide. Guess what.. if old sickly people get covid-19, the flu, or even the common cold.. .a relatively large percentage of them die... sad but true. Its a bunch of liberal media overhyped hysterical bullsh1t |

[link to www.thegatewaypundit.com (secure)] apples to oranges comparison. Each country is handling it differently, Singapore, HK, SK and Taiwan are doing aggressive testing, contact tracking and and isolation. The result is it's not spreading quickly so their health care systems aren't overwhelmed and those in ICU are getting very good care. Most of the countries on the list only showed up in the last week, the death rate lags about three weeks or so. Using thier numbers as part of the average is pre-mature. You could add those numbers in about three to four weeks. It would be fair to compare Hungry and Russia death rates because both countries have taken a similar approach to managing the crisis. It would also be fair to compare the US and EU to Italy because the US and EU are taking a similar approach as Italy did, which didn't work out well for Italy. Iran, seems to be in a world all it's own, they appear to be just letting it burn thru the population without any control measures. I don't know anywhere doing that. |

So 115 confirmed with 33 of those, dead. Thats about 3 percent. Unknown deaths and unknown cases would not change that figure much. Trumps lies and his stated objective of number manipulation instead of response probably wouldn't change it either. |
