Coronavirus By the Numbers – 83% of Affected Countries Have Death Rates of Infected Persons Less than 1%

According to the most recent data at Worldometer tracking website, the coronavirus mortality rates for individuals catching the virus are declining at a rate closer to the numbers we expect to see in a typical flu virus as the denominator continues to increase on a global scale.

Worldometer also shows that the death rate is 39‰ in Italy from the L strain.

the question is, why are Italy's numbers so high? Different strain? more elderly? or just accurate reporting?

South Korea seems to have the lowest fatality rate?

are they lying about the numbers? is it a different stain? are the treating patients differently?

I think the problem in Italy is two fold, a different strand and their system got overwhelmed and unable to provide the supportive care one would get in Singapore or Hong Kong. South Korea has the less lethal version.

No proof, total conjecture. Seems plausable
