Well, my son's company had 1.5 million worth of business contracts cancel yesterday. Not surprising, since they set up for big events.

I am a services provider for wealthy clients. Three of my clients canceled their trip plans or told me they'd canceled on Monday.

My DIL runs a major event fashioned after 'Burning Man' and their event size is over 3K. She said this morning they meet with their attorney tonight to figure out their obligations and how to manage their already incurred expenses.

She's also a teacher, and there are students in the next county over who have tested positive.


So, yes. The economic impact is going to be severe.

I haven't felt a direct hit yet, because my clients are remote anyway and we're working on long-term projects. I know it's coming though, it's the buzz in media production circles. Lots of contracts being cancelled, which means more people scooping up any production job they can. Doesn't bode well for this coming year, I can tell you that much.
