You gain nothing by counting a case that is not concluded. It is a mystery as it is in process. Concluded cases are the only numbers that have any real value at this point without having access to generational data which none of us do. The only real thing to note is that with this method, you will see the numbers normalize much faster than you will with the rate based on total infections. Using that rate will give you artificially low numbers until every case has concluded. |
