Question for the preppers of GLP
What are smart choices as far as canned goods go when considering shelf life, life sustainability, and ease of preparation?

Alternatively, What are some canned goods to stay away from due to short shelf life and lack of life sustainability?

Thanks!

We have pasta of different shape. Mix and match with you’re imagination.

Tuna
Salmon
Chicken
Mushrooms
Green beans
diced tomatoes
Canned meats
On and on

Buy an extra hand operated can opener just in case

I have about 3 weeks worth for 6 people of canned veggies, chili, chef boyardee, pasta, large restaurant size cans of beans and 100lbs of rice. Just dont know how life sustaining this stuff is and was wondering how to better my preps. Also want to have enough for a month at least so am buying more hence the post.

Crackers and peanut butter goes a long way for a long time. Also, at Walmart, Sams, Costco they have boxes of Spanish Rice, Alfredo on and on. You can mix canned veg'ies in them as well.
