My son has COVID-19. He lives in SF
He was at the conference in SF where the guy who had to be flown to CT and is in a medically induced coma.

My son's symptoms are:

Mild sniffles
Stiff neck
Feeling run down.

NO: Fever, or aches and pains.

It took a week before he was deemed 'qualified' to be tested.

Then it took 5 days for the results to come back.

He'll go back for testing to see if he's stopped 'shedding' the virus.

I sent him the liposome vitamin C that Trin recommended along w/the copper.

Just wanted to let you all know what's up.

You help me with all the valuable info, so ....

Praying that Rob recovers quickly

So, he has more or less a cold with no aches or pains. Interesting.

I guess only folks with compromised immune systems are the ones who have to worry about a drastic decline in their health. i.e. the very young, hospitalized folks and older folks.

Glad to read that he is doing well. I hope he continues to get back to normal.

BTW: The man who was flown to Danbury hospital, a software engineer in Rob's company, had a history of pneumonia. So, that person had a bad preexisting condition.

The company is a cybersecurity company in SF and the guy in the coma, the software engineer and his family lives in Wilton CT. His wife just had twins a couple of months ago. What a shit storm it is for that poor family

Three other people at his company tested positive.

Everyone in the company is working from home when it was found out that guy came down with it. About a week now.

All in SF

If he starts getting really bad headaches or avoiding bright lights, it might be meningitis because 'stiff neck' isn't a sign of CV.

Hopefully San Fran has had time to prepare!

They are out there on a peninsula basically, so easy to isolate them and get the curve rate down.

Yeah - there's the S and L, I believe it's called.

The L is worse.

I'll ask him when I call him this morning. Still really early in CA

So that means thousands of people are like this case or Rudy Gobert running around ignoring all the fuss and never getting tested.

Once the symptoms fade they would test negative I guess?

 Quoting: ^TrInItY^

14 days. He had to wait that length of time before he 'qualified to be tested. Not sure what the criteria are for that.

I'll ask him more today.

When he called last night, I was gob smacked.

I freaked out after I got off the phone w/him .

That is interesting and good news. Obviously diseases can impact some people worse than others. I wonder if his experience would be similar to many flus. I mean, are there often many people who would test positive for the flu but show no symptoms? Or maybe even is it possible the SARS 2 test is better able to detect the disease than flu tests? The people saying this is no big deal keep pushing the low mortality rate. That would be true if a lot more people have this but don’t have serious symptoms.

For the life of me, I can't find how long a person is sick with it. From worst case scenario to best case.

Just how long it takes to incubate.

Does anyone know?
