The world had no clue about it until January. The Chinese have been lying through their teeth the whole time. We have only got false information about the scope of the devastation in China from the virus. The real numbers will never be known, but, IMO, millions have died in China, millions more infected, and the virus is not contained or dwindling, like they claim. China wants to use their meds as hostage, and I think we need to tell them to shove it !!! We can make them here, and do a better job of it.
