REAL INTEL - Massachusetts to Issue SHELTER IN PLACE March 15th

The restaurant I work at has taken every step to mitigate the spread of the virus short of closing, but we got quite busy this evening despite MANY cancelations in reservations. People here are essentially going about their normal day with plenty of contact; if we are indeed in a community transmission phase there's no way of slowing it down outside of forced quarantine.

I assure you things are in motion. Timelines may/will shift. There are MANY moving parts. MANY vulnerable citizens to consider. Impacts to businesses. Right now slowing the spread is the main focus. The numbers are a representation of reality. Testing is minimal. Once testing is in place positive numbers will grow. Don’t react to that. It’s expected and this the reason why leadership may issue a shelter in place. Could be all state. Could be rolling by county. Could be Tuesday.

The goal will be to provide basic services. No one wants anxiety ridden angry people running around. Calm comfortable citizens. Organized testing and reporting of findings to target resources.

Please. Be there for your family and neighbors. Don’t be a shithead. Ok? Prep up.

You may be asked to help in some way. It could be an all hands on deck for people who can hit a challenge and lead.

So, Governor Baker just announced on Local TV there are no plans to issue a 14 day Shelter in place.

Thank goodness I was wrong, but I would imagine this could Change.
