It's not a hoax and corporations do not in fact run everything. Trump does, he's currently the most powerful person in the world and he dictates what happens. Hopefully we find a cure and a vaccine both, but if not all our efforts will be bent on making the virus less severe at home. The world is going to be incredibly vulnerable, as Trump will probably withdraw troops from heavily infected countries and redeploy them elsewhere.
