that's an interesting idea, i've never seen it suggested before. i wonder if there's any merit to it. obviously your core temperature isn't going to get up that high, but it should still tick it up to hot enough to the trick.

A sauna can have tempratures from 80-100 degree.

There are several studies on it, and yes, also covid19 is suspectible to heat just like any other virus.

The body goes into fever as the reaction to microbe invasion to slow the invaders reproduction rate, not kill the microbes. The white blood cells and other anti-bodies then can then overwhelm the invasive force before the invasion overwhelms the body.

Same theory behind what the admin is doing. Slow the rate of infection to not overwhelm the healthcare system. Humans are just big copy-cats of what nature has proved to work.

Steam baths are less violent and have benefits too.
For example making the blood but also the lymph move.
Massages are also good but completely ignored/demonized. Which is quite indicative they want us seek, manual therapy being 'free' (knowledge, energy of the healer, time are the only things needed).

They get massages constantly since childhood/adolescence.

It would have to raise your core temperature to have any effect. If you sit in a sauna for so long that your core temperature goes up to about 40 C, it might - in principle - hurt the spreading of a virus inside you.

However, sauna is a stress to your system and might be counterproductive when fighting a disease. If you are sick, it is not advisable to go to sauna. People have gotten myocardial inflammation and even infarction (heart attack) when going to sauna when sick.

Probably good plan. Or swim in a freshly shocked pool. All that chlorine and hydrogen peroxide.

Doesn't work, if air that hot was making it to your lungs they'd be scorched. When we breathe out, there is still cool air inside your lungs. When breathing in hot air from a sauna, it mixes with the cool air. Conversely, it's why the lungs don't freeze when breathing in -50f air.

Just eat fresh garlic..

I always get a burning and very dry throat very quickly in a sauna and can feel the heat going in my lungs...

I'd prefer to breathe steam with medicinal herbs or essential oils though.

That's the reason to begin with we have a fever...the body always know how to fix things.

But higher than 38 not very good, especially the older you are.

If this virus proves to be endemic, we could see a migration of populations to warmer climates.

i have heard the "heat" cure in some other threads here as well. don't know. i guess it could be possible if it is only the sinuses that need to be heated, but, an hour in these type of temps would be dangerous for other reasons, i assume
