This reminds me of a phone call I got yesterday from my partner who is a trucker...he said he read a billboard while passing though WV 2 days ago to be prepaired: Avian Flu was coming. That is not verbatim, but it is very close.
Grapefruit Seed extract has been proven to kill bird flu virus in it's currrent form. I don't know or really care whether it's transmissable to humans.. (not afraid of death) but I do keep my GSE on hand...it's good for lots of things.

We don't see much in the MSM about Bird Flu these days, but if you toggletext the foreign press in areas where BF is really entrenched it'll give you plenty to worry about.

BF has been identified in 60 countries so far (in wild and domestic birds) and in a half dozen or so of these countries, human cases keep popping up all the time. Every time BF is found, governments rush in to cull all the birds in the infected areas and then they throw down what's become known as a "Tamiflu blanket" onto all the people in the vicinity who may've had contact with the birds. Tamiflu is the only drug available right now that fights off human cases of BF, but only if it's given in the first 24 hours after symptoms occur. Some strains of BF are developing resistance to Tamiflu now, while others require higher and higher dosages of the drug to be effective. Without Tamiflu, BF has a case fatality rate of about 80%...a huge mortality as far as flu goes.

It is suspected that these Tamiflu blankets may be masking human-to-human transmission of BF because those who take it often test negative for BF despite showing clear symptoms of the virus. Because these people are lucky enough to be treated in time, they recover - and are therefore never included in the official WHO tally of BF-affected persons. With that in mind, when you hear that only 200 or so people have died from BF so far, remember that thousands upon thousands of others have shown signs of infection, have been treated with Tamiflu and have then been quarantined for extended periods until they recovered. Remember also that this whole routine of chasing down and then intervening to tamp down BF flare-ups happens at least several times each month now.

So, as long as the affected countries remain vigilent, this BF scare is a non-issue, right? Well, maybe not. What worries me is that many bird species have now become asymptomatic despite being infected with BF. Sick and dying birds were always the point of reference for government/healthcare interventions - but that's becoming less and less the case now. BF just pops up in humans out of nowhere and without warning lately, and it increasingly does so even when birds are not around at all. This suggests that not only may birds be shedding the virus all over without detection - but that maybe some other animal(s) are acting as hidden reservoirs as well. The other thing that worries me is that certain countries, especially those hard-hit by BF, are starting to take measures that are really enough to make your hair stand on end.

For example, a couple months ago Indonesia announced that they would begin vaccinating their population against BF starting this September. The WHO urgently requested that they not do this because BF had not yet evolved into a pandemic strain - and because some half-assed vaccine could cause the BF virus to become even more difficult to deal with down the road. Indonesia has said it will go forward with the vaccinations anyway. In fact, when BF started popping up in humans all over Bali this last couple weeks or so, Indonesia allegedly went ahead and vaccinated some 300 people who'd come into contact with these BF victims. This Bali vaccination story appeared in the Indonesian press exactly once before it was removed. Shortly after that, the Indonesian government announced that all BF-related news would henceforth be coordinated only through a single, fully-informed agency.

What is going on in Indonesia, do you suppose? Vaccination is the remedy of last resort - so why are they insisting upon that now? And why are they suddently cracking down on the press? I guess we may never know. But still, it gives me plenty to worry about.

Last year the major media was in a frenzy over bird flu, and nothing happened. Guess the plot to spread it around and kill millions failed, and probably will again this year.

On a related issue, right now in Australia we are going through massive quarantine in regard to an 'Equine Flu" outbreak.

This has nothing whatever to do with Bird Flu and it does not affect people at all, but the 'Quarantine procedure" if you like is getting a "real time" - work out.

They are monitoring all of the highways and roadways for 'illegal" movement of horses. (years of imprisonment and also massive fines if you are caught moving horses at all)

Huge electronic signs over all the roadways telling you up to date information - road blocks, all in place.

All Horse events (Shows, Gymkhanas, racing) has been stopped in NSW aND QLD for 2 whole months. this is in the busiest time (spring) in the year for horse events.

This is the biggest Quarantine operation in Australia's history.

To me that fact that "Bird Flu", is just around the corner - is NO coincidence.

This thing got out "on purpose", and the government needed something to sharpen up response times, coordinate medical personnel, coordinate the bureaucracy, find properties for further quarantine, mobilize response teams and mobilize the police.

This whole thing sharply parallels what would be needed as a response to a bird flu outbreak.

A new study by a US university has apparently confirmed for the first time that bird flu has been transmitted from human to human.

Seven of eight family members who caught the disease were soon dead.

"This proves there is person-to-person transmission in this case, in that setting, in Indonesia, northern Sumatra," he said.

Professor Longini says this shows there is a serious threat of a bird flu pandemic.

"It could happen and will happen eventually, and this simply confirms this particular H5N1 virus is capable of person-to-person transmission," he said.

Minnesota to get U.S. funds to help gird for flu pandemic

Minnesota will receive an additional $1.3 million in federal funds to help prepare for a potential pandemic flu outbreak, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Thursday.

The funding will help the state stockpile medical supplies, develop plans to distribute them, plan alternate medical care sites and conduct exercises on how to help a surge of flu patients.

"This comes at a good time," said Aggie Leitheiser, director of the State Health Department's Office of Emergency Preparedness.

The department is developing procedures for hospitals to use in event of a flu pandemic, and some hospitals will begin exercises next year to practice for an outbreak.

The $1.3 million is the first grant the state has received to help hospitals deal with a possible flu pandemic, Leitheiser said.

Minnesota also has received about $6 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for public-health efforts to deal with a flu outbreak and expects another $3 million soon.

The federal funding is part of a larger effort in the past five years to help states prepare for potential bioterrorism, infectious diseases and natural disasters that might cause mass casualties.

Some of that preparation helped sharpen the response when the I-35W bridge collapsed Aug. 1, Leitheiser said.

The grant announced Thursday is part of $75 million being distributed nationally. It supplements $430 million announced two months ago for general disaster preparation, with $12 million coming to Minnesota.

Okay, this is one of the old-timers of GLP here and I'm snortin mad at all the BS going on with silly debunkers and all their foolishness. Especially when it looks like TSHF is coming up on us fast & close now. I say get yor heads outta the sands and listen up close, people. Here's some stuff that may relate to this thread bigtime.

First of all, look at the bigger picture and what all is happening. The economy is crashing, reports of runs on banks all around globe in past couple weeks, bizarre weather with freak disasters all over the place... HELLO ... do you not see the signs that we are on brink of "all hell breaks loose"...? And if things start turning sour, then the ptb need to buy time ... what better way than to have the majority of public too sick to stir up any trouble in the streets while they head for their bunkers in boondocks?

Next ....... get it your head that whether there's some virus spreading naturally -OR- being deliberately spread by terrorists or black ops agents (take yor pick), the outcome will still be same for you / your family-loved ones.

Third, more than a few of us oldsters and research hounds are seeing very clear warning signs that something major is up!

And when I say "virus" it can mean that what is being called the official Bird Flu virus [H5N1] or some other variant -or- any debilitating contagion causing severe illness that will sicken or kill a large majority of the the population. So don't get so hung up on labels and word games.

Guess what's being figured out on that thread (drumroll) ... that WNV appears to be another form of a BIRD INFLUENZA VIRUS = so this is a big hmmmmmmm????

And it just might be that things could happen so that we might not really know the difference if a bad illness suddenly starts spreading around like wildfire. And consider how it could be that we don't really know what's really going on if people suddenly start getting bad sick in massive numbers ... for example: we're told in news reports by MMS --> "oh, it's just West Nile Virus" like the outbreaks are no big deal. Yet we begin to quickly see the same type outcomes as if a Pandemic is developing or it might even be a BCW bioattack (but we will never be told that type info!) Meanwhile, people are flooding every hospital & clinic, doctor offices are closing because of the the wild crowds, panic & chaos... and elite types with $$ & resources may be heading far away out into the hills to get away asap! And victims of this illness are suffering severe impairment and even many deaths start taking place. It would be pure hell no matter whether you think it's Bird Flu or something else or don't even believe in such a possibility as this could be happening for real!

Remember ... we the public can only know what we are *told* or led to *believe* by the various "officials" that run the show ... the ptb have iron grip over all systems like CDC, etc. Furthermore .... never forget that NATIONAL SECURITY is the prime motivator behind everything that the officials implement = they (the ptb) do NOT give one hoot about the actual people and whether or not they survive. So in this time still left as normal, before whatever is at hand actually occurs or is attempted, we at least have what what we directly observe/ experience ourselves --- or hear from trusted sources like family/friends and can prep and share concerns with others.

1. Some contacts have connections with people working inside agencies of EMS + Public Health ... they are ALL having unplanned meetings and hastily set-up drills ... this is for real. Teams have been set up to be activated at any time and swing into action.

2. Just last week was in ER with elderly relative that had flu type sickness ... Doctor was very thorough to ask many questions and saying they are now monitoring for any cases of similar symptoms so as to immediately alert local/ state health systems at any hour.

3. In DFW Texas, this week at local grocery stores, etc are tables with boxes of pamplets that have appeard recently -- these are titled on front cover:

These brochures were not there 2-3 weeks ago on last shopping trip. I am holding one in my hand right now ... it was at "Sack & Save" Grocery this week - in English + Spanish. There are instructions inside about basics, how to avoid catching illness, etc. And then there are the pages of lists of what to stock up and buy at store for up to ***4 WEEKS*** of being in quarantine. Emergency foods, water, baby formula, diapers, fuel, meds, batteries, radio, flashlights, etc = LONG LISTS of stuff!!!

Last ... please go read that thread linked above - the one about the WNV and nationwide symptoms being reported ---> this $#!+ will freak you out as you start connecting the dots and then hear the reports of new WNV cases on local TV news in your own area of USA. And keep in mind, mosquitoes are very, very convenient vectors of disease - perfect for acts of biowarfare. And this is some super serious stuff we're talking about with the WNV outbreaks takin place here, folks!
