What about court orders during national emergency?
I’m in Ca,unfortunately.

I have 50/50 custody.

When can someone violate the state order and protect their children during a crisis like this.

Do I still have to meet in a parking lot during a nuclear Holocaust because a local court says so, or is there exemptions?

Like for example a pandemic?

Does anyone know about a federal law that gives guidance on justified willful disobedience of a state order during a national emergency.

Any idea or reference to a state/federal law would be appreciated.

Just wondering cuz this can get complicated for a many people for many a whiles

Re: What about court orders during national emergency?
I really would appreciate some serious feedback about this, I know I’m not alone questioning this. Where is the line drawn and what can I do to make the best decision for my child and also have the ability to justify my decision to withhold my child against a court order? Especially if our town starts a lockdown?

Please, I need some guidance other than my attorney I want to see a US code that discusses this for my own eyes and own free will. But I can’t find a damn thing on my own accord...

Lol. When the system crashes, there will be no rule of law. It was all voluntary anyway.

Court orders still apply however good luck getting them enforced any time soon. That could be good or bad depending on which side of the issue you're on.

Re: What about court orders during national emergency?
A court order is there for when 2 parties are unable to negotiate logistics on their own terms. If 2 parties are in agreement to met up elsewhere for exchange despite what the court order says it’s not a big deal. If two parties are in agreement of time changes, day changes, medical care, etc., not a big deal. Violating any child support payments and taking the kids out of state without the other parent’s approval is a huge no-no and you can be held in contempt if the other parent decides prosecute.
