I spoke with a very close friend. Active Duty military.
He called late last night. He said Northcom had issued orders yesterday for his battalion to prepare to mobilize in CONUS for 30 days.
He did not elaborate what the mission was. Just that orders came down
He also said that there is an argument within the administration between 2 camps
One camp wants to shut down everything for 30 days.
The other camp wants to shut things down partially [not sure what that means exactly] for 30 days.
He said POTUS was supposed to make a decision by Sunday.
Military is not supposed to deploy on US soil except in very specific circumstances. Posse Comitatus and all.
Just wanted to pass along what I had heard.
Quoting: Indiana Jones I went by a base today on my way to the VA. I saw them outside checking gear and cars parked around the OLD barracks area. This is an area that is not normally used, it is usually completely empty whenever I drive by there. So, there is a lot happening. Also, I saw 2 Apache copters flying over the back road towards the woods to the West. This would not be unusual except the no travel issues means no training. So what ever they were doing, it is a mission. The VA is screening people, asking questions, at a check point with people in their vehicles. If you answer OK, then they give you a wrist band with a date on it and let you park ans walk inside. It really gave me the feeling that they were LOOKING for something MORE than just patients that have the virus. What that may be IDK for sure, all of this may be bio terror stuff. Just seemed odd. I mean if it was just the virus, why worry about stamping the date on the band?
