A parent of a student at Takapuna Grammar has been diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19)

My Daughter goes to this school.  This letter came through from the school about an hour back. Do we pull her ?


"Dear Parent, Caregiver and Staff Member
 
Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) has confirmed a parent of a student at Takapuna Grammar has been diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19).  The parent did not visit the school whilst infectious and the student was not symptomatic while they were at school and remains well with the family self-isolating.
 
Please be reassured the ARPHS considers there to be minimal risk to students, staff or others at the school. Takapuna Grammar has not been advised by the ARPHS to close at this time.  The latest evidence show that, unlike influenza, there is a low risk that a person is able to transmit the virus before they have symptoms. 
 
Thank you for your support and understanding as we take care of each other in this uncertain time."
