Landline phones?
Southern New Mexico here. Is anyone else having issues with landline phones dropping calls? It's been going on for a couple of days now. Just curious.

Just kidding OP, maybe you should see if the latest upgraded software version is available before you panic and shell out cash for the latest hardware.

Op, a landline should not drop. Especially on a local call.
More often than not, drops are due to longdistance problems or from incoming cell calls.(or the occasional bad battery in a wireless handset)

Static, humming are another issue, but a perfectly good call should not just fail.

Most all landlines are a copper wire system. That shit should stay for on waaaay longer than the phones.

Those darn crack and methheads! Always doing stuff to those payphones! Hah! Seriously though, I thought all of the nation's payphones had been taken down by now in order to force as many people onto landlines and/or cellular phones for the rest of their lives.

I have not been getting kicked offline at all since this crap began, rewind. Though my wireless home Internet connection has been very slow fairly often. The R site and the NOAA's national radar sites have been open to me for the last couple of days. They were completely down for me otherwise. YouTube on the other hand... that site has been crippled for me. It has been fairly often very slow, and about half of the time I can not even stream any videos.

As in it will get to the video, but never start streaming anything. I can Stop the page then Reload it and it does the same things over and over, but never progress any further than when I originally had to Stop and Reload the page. I have had to skip over some potentially good content because of this crap. Though since yesterday at least this has calmed down quite a bit for the most part. This does come back time to time though. Most likely because so many people on my ISP's network all at once.

12 years - happened all the time when I lived in Texas and now happens all the time when I live in NH. TX I used Time Warner, NH is Comcast. It's bizarre and I'm the butt of jokes with friends & family for dropped calls - accused of hanging up on people and jokes about CIA, NSA, etc listening in and disconnecting my calls because they're so boring.

Re: Landline phones?
I am hooked up with century link so what ever they use.. it used to be broadband but last time I had service connected they replaced my router with a wireless. They say it is so fast and it is this fast bla bla but then the router says it is half as fast as the speed I pay for. Not sure how they get away with selling a speedy internet but the actual router is only capable of half that. It says right on the router how fast it is and the phone bill says another thing all together. Crooks. just chalk it up to thieving liars.
