The 'wing-nuts' at WND are hip to a few things... the Fed, the NAU, and now this:

The U.S. Army is authorized to create civilian prison labor camps on military installations, according to a little-noticed regulation.

The camps are allowed if the request comes from the Federal Bureau of Prisons or state corrections facilities under leasing requirements defined by federal law.

WND's discovery of the regulation comes shortly after Bush administration directives expanding presidential powers during an emergency.

The Army prison camp policy is defined in Army Regulation 210-35, entitled "Installations: Civilian Inmate Labor Camps," signed Feb. 14, 2005, by Sandra R. Riley, then-administrative assistant to the secretary of the Army.

The regulation revises an earlier civilian inmate labor camp regulation signed Dec. 9, 1997, under the Clinton administration.

Ned Christensen, spokesman for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, confirmed to WND the 2005 version of Army Regulation 210-35 is currently valid and fully operative...

Nothing GLP'ers didn't know, but very interesting to see on a more-or-less MSM site.

The Gov't of Canada has converted our old ex cold war military bases into detainment centres as well. The barbed wire / razor wire now hangs on the inside to keep people from escaping instead of getting in!

I assume it is an economic collapse cause we got alot of handout victims who want the gov't to pay for everything.

WND is really good on the issues you mentioned, OP. I'm glad to see they have discovered this. Hopefully more people will become aware.

Yeah, I've noticed that they seem to be somewhat selective in their coverage.

While good on these issues, they are fairly pro-war/zionism in general. I admit to window shopping there, from time to time, to see what the sheeple are being fed, and this story struck me a 'lunatic fringe', but LISB: nothing we here didn't know about already ...

Yes yes. I've always noticed when they close a military base, they leave all the barracks walls up. Bare-bones camps they are, with built-in fencing pre-installled. All they have to do is turn the barbed-wire around on top so it leans in instead of out...

I'd love to believe that is true and that we'll finally get rid of the big ticks on our society. Unfortunately it cannot even be close to true, else he wouldn't be flooding our country with raving non-white loonies who have already made perfectly plain that they intend to kill anybody who isn't one of them.

Re: Civilian Prisons Coming Soon to U.S. Army Base Near You !
The use of old military posts as prisons isn't a new phenomena. They've been doing it for at least the last 15 years, or so. But if they don't intend to use the camps, why build them in the first place?

What concerns me more, though, is the revamping of the Army's FTM on "Civilian Labor Camps." If they don't plan to use the manual, why write it in the first place?

"If you build it, they will come..."

Military posts have train tracks...
"Until you are willing to organize your friends and neighbors and literally shut down cities - drive at 5mph through the streets of major cities on the freeway and stop commerce, refuse to show up for work, refuse to borrow and spend more than you make, show up in Washington DC with a million of your neighbors and literally shut down The Capitol you WILL be bent over the table on a daily basis." Karl Denninger

Don't blame me; I voted for Ron Paul.
