Prepping is so cheap that if you can buy beer and smokes, you could have prepped.

Not from a "prepping company" that sells at 15X over price, but there's no one that could not buy extra pasta, bulk bags of flour or whatever for $10 a month.

Never.... I simply place the on KoS list because they will be desperate and more dangerous than rabid dogs.... for main reason...they're not stupid.

For like 7 bucks (US value) I'd get a slate of 12 cans of soup, and so I got many of them, over the course of several months of quiet prep. Not glamerous, but with dried rice and beans, enough to get me through to the growing season where hopefully this garden bed I am in the process of digging up will have produced some nutritious fresh veggies.

Hey, we got tons of time on our hands, if you have land and water, make a garden! You might even help out your country by relieving the stress on the supermarkets slightly!

Yep, OP! Being impoverished is the single greatest reason why most people will never get "prepared" like the more rich people out there. The Illuminati have known precisely what they are doing by forcibly turning over half of Americans into perpetual needy people via permanent poverty.

So many GLPers put down the poor as equally stupidity or worse because the poor can never gain any real money. The horrifying reality of it is the poor can never stop being poor for a myriad of reasons. One reason being the ultra cheap goods that come in from China. You need something right then and there and do not have the time to save up a ton of money for the actual high quality stuff that usually runs into the twenty or so dollars range. If you think twenty or so dollars is nothing then you are obviously a rich individual. I have been living such a destitute lifestyle myself that I have personally have seen my mother spend six (yes, very seriously) months straight saving up to get a small-ish chest freezer only to be set back more than two years straight because one of my sisters at the time was a truancy whore. By the time the Truancy Court got involved my mother had to spend all of the monies she had saved up for said chest freezer and then some more for the Court costs and to pay our high school because my sister just was MIA most of the time.

Another reason being so many essentials in America are actually fairly easily gotten up front, but it is the monthly payments at exorbitant interest rates that ruin so many poor people's lives and credit ratings. For a poor individual their lives may be going well or better at that particular moment enabling them to get another life's essential whatever that may be for that poor individual at that particular moment in time. Then something goes wrong in their lives such as they get a flat tire or something seemingly not that bad. Unfortunately for them they do not have the immediate funds in their bank account or in their wallet to get a new (used) tire. So one must go to one of those payday loan sharks out of sheer desperation. I have personally seen my parents' lives very quickly spiral out of control for years at a time because of that insanity.

So many people spit upon, hate, and even ruthlessly injure or kill the poor here in America. Why? Because the MSM tells them to do so in one form or another, and even Hollywood too. So many people view the poor as unable to do their own finances because they are too stupid to do so. In reality, I have seen far more poor people being much more capable than the rich people to handle their own finances. It is because America really is set up to devastate the poor class of America. Nearly everything in America that is paid for and maintained one way or another is possible because of the constant victimization of the poor. Then hundreds of millions of Americans have the blind audacity to put constantly put down the poor, "Why can't you be rich like me?!" and countless other utterly maddening stupid things.

Rest assured... in the long run it will be the poor people who will come out on top.

Unfortunately, how many of those same people:

o have 60"-72" HDTVs
o stood in line for hours on Black Friday to save $50 on those TVs
o have satellite or cable with all of the sports and movie packages, costing around $120/mn
o have Netflix, and spend hours binge-watching nonsense
o have every member of their family getting the latest/newest smartphone each year, and with the most expensive data plans
o lease their vehicles, and get a new one every two years
o still take annual vacations
o buy an expensive coffee every morning
o dine out 2-3 times a week
o go out drinking every weekend, or bring home a six-pack every day. Or both.
o go to the movies every week. With tickets $10-12 each. And $5 sodas. And $15 buckets of popcorn.
o buy every new video game that comes out

I know there are a lot of people just getting by. But by the same token, there are a lot of people crying how tough they have it, but never take stock of how much money they are pissing away.

I've known people that make 6 figures who were broke, and people that made less than half that who were not. It isn't your income that makes you rich, it is your mentality. Anyone who didn't prep is foolish, they will reap what they have sown.

Corporations sure didnt prep, theyre running to DC with their hands out because they say they can survive without billions for a few months.

Friends were going out drinking, i didn't. So i had those extra dollars that they spent on bullshit to sink into preps.

at retail supermarket price.

Affordability isn't the reason people don't prep.
