Excellent post, CrimsonBleu. For all I know, CrimsonBleu, you have led a vastly superior life and lifestyle to me in real life or verse visa. I do not know you at all. So why should I blindly and foolishly judge you when I know you not?

When the storm troopers break down your door and confiscate your supplies, it won't make a difference anyway.

I haven't prepped and have no desire to.

I live, I live, I die, I die. I have no interest in either outcome.

We peppers do realize the possibility that others may be aware of our stores and supplies.

They do not care about our efforts and self-deprivation to amass and carefully preserve those stores. The gummies just think they have a right to your stuff if they need it.

It is almost inevitable that people will attack and invade us to take what we have because they have the right to get what they need to survive.

It needs to be equally understood we have just as much right to protect and defend our families, homes, and very lives with deadly force if required.

Come and take it, but please die quietly and do not whine about how you have kids to feed. You did not care about my kid's lives. Be willing to die, because I for one, am willing to die protecting my family. I am not going to die without exacting equal payment from as many of the invaders as I can .

Oh and most delivery people. that includes your mail.

People who are prepping are not millionaires and we’re not buying luxury ice cream and organic tomato sauce. You prep with the basics and prepare to cook your own meals. Beans cost nothing. Having a few chickens that may eggs cost nothing - and they’re easy to maintain.

I have seen way so many comments and threads on GLP about how stupid people are for not prepping and that it’s their own fault if they don’t have enough to get through a crisis. They should have planned better, or they didn’t know how to handle money, and on and on…

I spent almost 8 years working for one of the largest storable food and emergency preparedness companies you have no doubt heard about, and I can tell you first hand that:

Most families are just getting by and MIGHT have a months worth of savings if they are lucky.

People WANT to prep but are extremely limited and have to choose what they can afford at that moment.

Every day you are served by people who can’t prep and every day you expect them to proved food, and other services to YOU so you can. Let’s list a few:

Restaurant staff like waiters and waitresses, cooks and hosts. Dishwashers too. Sandwich shop employees like Subway and all fast food workers.
Hotel staff like from the front desk to the maids who clean your room to the laundry department who handles your nasty lines when you are done with them.
Cashiers who have to listen to you complain or handle and touch the same shit a bunch of other people touched and place it in a bag for you.

Landscaping and lawncare crews who mow your yard and trim, and weedeat for you.

Car wash people who work their ass off to clean YOUR dirty ass car.

Construction workers who sweat balls working to build and repair houses and businesses everywhere. This includes roofers who sweat nails in the summer.

Trash collectors - Oh here is my pet peeve…these guys are up and down, on the truck and off the truck in between hoisting your nasty ass trash cans into the trash muncher machine, in sweltering heat, storms, sleet rain and ice cold winter. They don’t get paid near enough.

Pool techs who keep your pool sparking so you can soak your ass in the crystal clear water and relax.

Customer service people from banks, hotels, car dealerships cell phone service, utility companies, retail store of every kind, do you think they can afford to save three to 6 months worth of savings for hard times?

That’s enough for now. Use your brain and THINK for one minute not EVERYONE is in a position to be ready for these tough times, so be easy on them. Share if you can and don’t belittle others because they are material poor. They have lives and families too.

Both my parents worked in the hospitality industry for most of their lives and died with nothing in the bank and nothing to account for it materially. That’s the way the high majority of us are going to die too. But we still serve each other the best we can.

Beans are cheap so is peanut butter. It's hard to understand why people could not have been putting $5.00 a paycheck into a jar at the back of a closet for hard times. I had my years of doing this and we got by fine without that $5.00 and were grateful when we had to use it.

My husband and I in the past had to work some of those jobs and we overcame the hard times very well.

People make choices in life .. You made the choice to try and make the people who are prepared guilty....Well I reject that acquisition you made and take the opportunity to .....

The problem here, GSB/LTD, is there will always be someone better trained with firearms and/or wind up easily killing me physically. My lower spine does not allow me to have a whole lot of freedom of movement. I know darn well I am easy prey and that is the way it will remain until someone kills me physically. It is fine. I have accepted the inevitability.

I am not the least bit worried about this except for how painful my inevitable physical death may be. I have spent years preparing myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for my next lifetime, GSB/LTD. My next lifetime is the one I prize for the things I will be capable of doing and have done thus far. I have no regrets, GSB/LTD, for I have achieved literally all of my most important goals that have been all important to me for over 20,000 years now. Good luck to you though, GSB/LTD, in your continued survival.

A couple of 5 gallon buckets, mylar bags, desicants, rice & beans will not break too many budgets.

Even with all the crap going on, a 20 lb bag of rice costs less than $9. You can buy bulk pinto beans for less than $1 a pound. So if they spent $20 a month, they would have about 240lbs of rice and about another 120 lbs of beans before a year is out. The 5 gallon buckets are less than $5. They would have enough food to get by for a few months at least. I bet these same families have multiple tv's and cable tv, and probably pick up a 24 pack of beer at least once a week. All the liquor stores down in the ghetto always seemed busy when I have to drive through the hood. So yeah a lot of people were suffering from a severe case of normalcy bias or said fuck it that someone else will have pity on them and give them food. These are the same people that always joked about tinfoil hats and preppers being paranoid freaks. Even today people are still saying why do I need more than a few days worth of food, but have a refridgerator full of beer. They made their bed, and now they can sleep in it.

I've never worried about my death and have been working on the eventual transition for a couple of decades. As far as your "20,000 years"? I'm in the same boat and this is another reason I do not fear death - but let's get too esoteric here, shall we?
