What I don't get, is why, now that there is a highly successful inexpensive treatment, or cure basically, that we need a quarantine?

Why crash a healthy economy further over a minor viral issue?

I have three scanned letters saved on my computer from the last couple days. There are 5-10 other letter scans making the rounds on forums right now. They aren't hard to find. It seems like the letters are working their way down the heirarchy of importance. The first ones were for broadcasters, electrical linemen, railroads, etc. Now truckers and retail workers are starting to get them. Everyone that is considered esential will need one before things can be shut down, so it does seem like that is coming, but it will likely be the middle to end of next week at the earliest if I had to guess.

Everything related to the coronavirus response moves pretty slowly, because it is all so complicated and involved. They likely need way more national guard moved into cities before they could enact any major driving restrictions on the populace.

Its gonna rain sometime next month, somewhere...

my ex-wife's parakeet is saying something about martial law and lockdowns. I'll come back here after writing it all down. As a disclaimer, I ran out of parakeet food last night and have been feeding him McDonald's french fries.

I'm in Asheville. No one is staying home. Very busy at work today. Mostly senior citizens and all sitting together. They closed all the parks yet my co-worker passes one on his way home every evening and it's full of kids and parents. Nice spring weather here. Still full parking lot at the grocery stores. Of course this is liberal Asheville so all those people are going to be mad when they get sick and blame sick people for not staying home, yet they continue to do whatever they want.

First positive case. Maybe they will finally see the light and decide to stay home.
Interestingly enough, we had a Walgreens being cleaned by people in hazmat suits last night, and today we find a manager or assistant manager at one store is positive and that persons roommate works at the one they were cleaning last night. A frigging drugstore, where people who are already sick or have conditions. Even scarier is what employees told of what the stores were doing to protect people. Nothing.

Brother, I would have agreed with you about this being bogus a few days ago, but my wife received her letter yesterday as her job was deemed an essential service by the Department of Homeland Security. This is 100% legit, and no I'm not posting a picture of her letter because it has her company's letterhead, logo, etc. They are customized with company job profiles and duties, but most include the CISA and NCC wording at the bottom.

Do I believe this is somehow proof that President Trump is planning a national quarantine? No, I think he will leave it up to the governors of each state and these letters will be needed in that scenario just as well for folks to travel to work as needed.

I have an acquaintance in Italy that works in a bank. His wife has to teach at home. He told me he has a “certificate” that he has to have in order to go to his job. He has the option of working at home but he doesn’t want to. So this could be legit.
