Going by this article that someone posted above but failed to read properly, Italy on average has appx 17,000 flu deaths a season. If we go by winter months, we'll say 4 just to be fair (usually more like 5) That'd be a little over 4,000 deaths a month.. and these are during some BAD flu seasons.. using these numbers.. The Coronavirus just this past week has outdone some of the worst flu MONTHS Italy has seen in the recent years.. Their death rate in 2 days is worse than an entire week of deaths in a bad flu season..
