Garbage Dumpsters and Moving Garbage Trucks
We have a couple of dumpsters nearby where I live. Every time I see that garbage truck come....I can smell it from a full block away or more as it comes down the street. Then when it picks up the dumpster and bangs it on the truck to get stuck stuff out of the bottom of the dumpster. Followed then by slamming the dumpster down on the payment.

I have to go down there to deposit my personal garbage.

After picking up the garbage the truck comes down my street to turn around and is physically within some few yards of my house. I can see a trail of liquid spilled onto the street from the dumpster as the truck drives away.

I cringe every time I see this because I figure that dumpster, that spilled liquid and that truck was hot vectors for the coronavirus.

I cringe every time I see the truck coming. I cringe every time I have to go down to the dumpster to put my garbage bag in.

This is just inviting getting a good dose of virus.

The truck does NOT spray any kind of disinfectant after itself.

I think I will be calling the city today and make that suggestion.

We are living in a time that necessitates spraying.

P.S. I have now taken to spraying the bottoms of my shoes with 91% alcohol and then leaving them shoe bottom up to get dried by the hot sun here.....and leave the shoes outside. But, this does nothing for the virus floating in the air that may have landed on my clothes or hair.

This whole virus situation is just so nasty .

I have always washed my garbage cans after the men would come and empty them.

I've always washed my door handles, light switches...after having company in my house.

I think the city sanitation department should be spraying disinfectant into the dumpsters after they dump it. I recall one city where I lived many years ago doing this. It is an excellent thing to do now during this time.

You have a point, no telling what all is in that liquid but more now than ever you just know it can't be good.
