It's all the testing done in the last week. A spike is expected. But if you look at the death rate, it's low compared to Italy. Very low. Ours is about 1%. Italy is looking at almost 10% death rate right now.

I think our healthcare is much better than Italy and I think we would have a higher survival rate as long as hospitals aren't overwhelmed. What would be interesting to know is how many hospitalizations we have right now with that 46k number.

It will be much worst than Italy.

US will have it much worst than Italy and that is taking into account proportionality:

- The period of inactivity during the time the virus was spreading stealthily was longer than Italy. This is the main problem IMO.

- US urban centers are much larger and often have more populational density than Italian urban centers.

- US is more multi-cultural and cosmopolitan than Italy and a far bigger economical/industrial player than Italy and that means more people from Asia and all over the World traveled to USA (and vice-versa)

- Most of the problems in Italy were localized in a few Northern regions that happen to have excellent medical care facilities. In the US the spread of the virus is starting to look like it's all over the urban centers either west, east, north and south.

- 40% of the USA is racial-ethnic groups that are not known to have a strong sense of self-responsibility, civism and medium-long term thinking. Italy is still 95% European and most of their cultural enrichers don't live in the North.
