The psychology of this compared to, say, Fukushima is interesting. If I recall pretty much 99% of GLP was on board with Fukushima being an extinction level event. Nine years later it is basically universally recognized as a local tragedy but not a world-ender, a few outliers aside.
Now we have this global plague going parabolic and almost half GLP still won’t admit it is real. I doubt it will be extinction level but as the poster stated above it could easily kill 100 million or so.
Why the disconnect?
