BUY BANDANAS NOW!! NO PANIC User ID: 28849559 Australia 03/27/2020 05:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | One thing a mask does is stop someone from flinging sputum on you. Or you flinging it onto someone else. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32283570 Apparently, one is five days contagious before symptomatic. Masks seem like a good idea to stop the spread. Seems to me this is just a rough strain of the flu, tho. And we're all overreacting. would a bandana be able to do that? bandanas are cheap and easy to get. |

I dunno it sounds better than nothing, but my guess is that it is more porous and easier for particles to pass through. And if you fold it a million times it makes breathing hard. I have a real biohazard-style plastic canister mask but I think I am safe enough not to need it where I am, at least for the time being. Besides it would definitely freak people out to walk around in public like that in this particular environment. |
